Prof. Michael Marxer (Eastern University of Applied Sciences in Buchs, Switzerland)
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Marxer is head of the competence centre for Production Metrology (PMT) at the Institute of Microtechnology and Photonics at the Eastern University of Applied Sciences in Buchs, Switzerland. He received his doctorate 2012 at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and was appointed as Professor for Production Metrology at the Eastern University of Applied Sciences in Buchs, Switzerland.
His research activities focus on roughness and coordinate metrology with tactile, optical and multisensor measuring methods. He is member of the German VDI/VDE-GMA Technical Committee 4.31 Coordinate Measuring Machines, the Swiss Working Group for dimensional metrology in the industry sector tooling machines and president of Coordinate Metrology Training (CMTrain) association.
