Conference Form

The conference programme includes scientific discussions conducted in the form of plenary and poster sessions. Additionally, speeches by form of plenary and poster sessions. Additionally, speeches by representatives of measuring equipment manufacturers are planned, along with an exhibition of measuring equipment, a presentation of the new Laboratory of Ultra-Precision Coordinate Measurements of the Cracow University of Technology and cultural attractions. The languages used during the conference will be English  and Polish.

Conference topics

Conference topics include:

  • development in a field of coordinate measuring technique,
  • coordinate measuring machines,
  • theory of coordinate measurements,
  • measurements uncertainty,
  • traceability and inspection of coordinate measuring systems,
  • use of metrology in production of machine elements,
  • the role and tasks of metrology in quality assurance systems,
  • new trends in surface measurements,
  • visualization and virtualization techniques,
  • metrology in The Fourth Industrial Revolution,
  • coordinate metrology education,
  • geometrical product specification.

Conference venue

The conference will be held in Cracow.

The first day of the conference will be organized in the area of Cracow University of Technology, at. 37, Jana PawƂa II Avenue, postcode 31-864 Cracow. The meeting will begin with the opening of the new Laboratory of Ultra-Precision Coordinate Measurements of the Cracow University of Technology. The building is located closest to building A of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (50.075348, 19.998614). Then, the official opening of the conference and speeches will take place in the auditorium of building C.

The second day of the conference will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel where scientific discussions and speeches by industry representatives will be held.
The hotel is located about 4 km from the main railway station and in the distance of 2 km from the Main Square, with which it is very well connected via the public transport network (buses: 124, 424; trams: 18, 52).

Cracow is considered one of the most important cultural and scientific centers in Poland, and has been placed at the top of rankings defining the best tourist destinations in Poland for years. In Cracow and its close vicinity (within a radius of up to 100 km) there are five objects included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It takes just hour and a half by train to get to Zakopane and Tatra Mountains. All this, combined with an extensive gastronomic and entertainment base, makes Cracow a perfect place to organize cultural, sports and scientific events.

Participation in the conference requires registration via the form available on the website.

All persons willing to present the results of their research are asked to prepare an abstract of the lecture/poster which will be presented during the conference, including the most important information about conducted research and the obtained results.
The abstract should not exceed one A5 page and should be prepared according to the template available below:

WTP BANNER TEMPLATES FOR POSTERS

The decision to qualify the lecture will be made by the conference’s scientific committee. Abstracts of all accepted lectures and posters will be published in the conference materials. After the conference, selected articles are planned to be published in the form of a special issue in a journal on the MNiSW (Ministry of Science and Higher Education) list.

iMPORTANT DATES

March 22, 2024 – sending an abstract for the presented paper/poster

April 5, 2024 – qualification of papers and sending confirmation of their acceptance

April 9, 2024 – payment for participation in the conference

Conference FEE

The conference fee is PLN 2 000 (tax included).

The fee includes: participation in scientific sessions, conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks, gala dinner and afternoon networking activities, delivering one lecture or presenting one poster.

Additional costs for registration with accompaying person:

  • +199 PLN for participation of an accompanying person in the activity on April 25. 
  • +600 PLN for participation of the accompanying person in the gala dinner on April 26. 

The fee must be paid by March 29, 2024
